Abstract

Gastroretentive Drug Delivery System (GRDDS) merupakan sistem penghantaran obat oral yang dirancang untuk memperpanjang waktu tinggal obat di lambung sehingga meningkatkan bioavailabilitas dan efektivitas terapi. Artikel review ini disusun berdasarkan analisis 30 artikel ilmiah mengenai mekanisme, jenis, keuntungan, dan perkembangan teknologi GRDDS. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa GRDDS efektif meningkatkan absorpsi obat dengan narrow absorption window, kelarutan tinggi pada pH asam, dan waktu paruh singkat. Metode utama yang digunakan meliputi floating system, bioadhesive system, expandable system, dan raft forming system.
