Teachers are professionals who play a strategic role in the success of education. Referring to B.S. Sidjabat's thoughts in Teaching Professionally, this article emphasizes that teachers are not only tasked with imparting knowledge, but also with performing various important roles that encompass pedagogical, personal, and social dimensions. Teachers function as learning designers, mentors who are sensitive to the needs of students, effective communicators, wise classroom managers, and moral role models in everyday life. In the context of the Ethics and Professionalism of Teachers course, these roles require teachers to carry out their profession based on ethical principles such as integrity, responsibility, discipline, fairness, and respect for the dignity of students. Using a descriptive-analytical approach, this article shows that understanding and applying the code of ethics is an important foundation for teachers to fulfill the demands of their diverse professional roles. The results of this study confirm that teachers who continue to develop their competencies, maintain a mature personality, and adhere to ethical values will be able to realize meaningful learning and improve the quality of the teaching profession amid changing times.
